We are looking for an Accounts Manager to prepare financial accounts and yearly budgets. You will be expected to handle debtors and creditors. To succeed in this position, candidates should have strong technical skills in the accounting field, - Well versed in Excel, Word and outlook, and good problem-solving skills. You should be resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and organized with the ability to build rapport with clients.



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial accounts for the Group of Companies.

  • Prepare yearly budget and monitor monthly achievement.

  • Compile financial Reports monthly as required by the business.

  • Prepare bank , investment and any other reconciliation

  • Process timeously and present reports for filing of all NPS, Tax and Paye returns

  • Record and keep track of expenses on Excel journals

  • Ensure that correct posting of entries is done on a timely basis.

  • Process invoices in a timely manner.

  • Issue purchase orders, proforma invoices and invoices.

  • Follow up of debtors ageing report and organise collection of cheques.

  • Ensure that creditors are paid on a timely basis and organise despatch of payments.

  • Handle the debtors and creditors.

  • Monitor daily cashflow for Directors.

  • Bank Reconciliation daily.

  • Prepare payment vouchers and write cheques.

  • Liaise with external Accountant for correct posting of entries and for Financial year reports

  • Perform internal cost analysis.

  • Attend and be well prepared for all accounting meetings

  • Address all queries from external auditor.

  • Ensure that all statutory requirements are met.

  • Perform yearly and ah-hoc inventories.

  • Follow up of payment and renewal of all office insurances and office permits.

  • Follow up of all office requirement according to law.

  • Follow up of purchases and importation of goods.

  • Compile payroll and draft payslips

  • Control attendance and monitor leaves.

  • Maintain a self-development programme.

  • Any additional task as instructed by superiors.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum ACCA level 2

  • Degree in Accounting

  • 4-5 years’ experience in similar position

  • Availability outside normal working hours depending on the exigencies of the business.

  • Well organised and conscientious.

  • Good attention to details and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent reporting and analytical skill

  • Well versed in Excel , word and outlook

  • Strong technical skills in accounting field

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Strong organisational skills – able to take initiative , control own workload and prioritise matters as per business requirements

  • Flexible, energetic and strong team player

  • Detailed oriented and effective problem solver
